Royals heading to Sigmaringen for grand wedding

Members of European royal houses are now en route to Sigmaringen in Hohenzollern to attend the wedding of Crown Prince Ferdinand of Romania and Princess Marie of Edinburgh, reports the Chicago Daily Tribune.

Kaiser Wilhelm II is traveling is now "passing through Vienna," as he travels to Sigmaringen.  Grand Duke Alexis, who will represent Alexander III, is on his way from St. Petersburg.

A "score of titled English people" have left London on the "club train," and a "royal train" left earlier today from Berlin.

Princess Marie, the eldest daughter of the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, will receive some jewelery from her grandmother, Queen Victoria, and other relatives.

Queen Victoria has already given Princess Marie "an emerald and diamond pendant and earrings," and "one of those inevitable India shawls."  The Prince and Princess of Wales has sent a turquoise bracelet and the Duke of Edinburgh, who is also the reigning Duke of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha, has given his daughter, a diamond and turquoise tiara and necklace.

The bride-to-be has also received ten silver inkstands and "silver drinking cups, and one umbrella.
