Maria Theresia: place for wedding not yet decided

Although Regensburg would love to see Princess Maria Theresia of Thurn und Taxis marry in her home town,  the Princess remains undecided about where she will marry British artist Hugo Wilson.

In a statement to the media, the secretariat of the Princely House said: "At the present time we cannot disclose information about the wedding preparations as Princess Maria Theresia has not yet decided where the wedding will be held: in Bavaria or England.

Wilson has been described as one of Britain's most promising young artists.

The bride's mother, Princess Gloria, the widow of the late Prince Johannes of Thurn und Taxis, appears to be more open now about the marriage between her eldest daughter and a commoner, albeit a successful artist.  She is more concerned that her soon-to-be son-in-law is a Protestant, but assures everyone that he is converting to the Roman Catholic church.

The present Prince of Thurn und Taxis is Maria Theresia's younger brother, Albert, whose 30th birthday celebration took place in London.
